Another AJHL update today. Olds actually uses an alright logo but I decided to change it up a bit, and get the hang of designing logos.

AJHL Update

Today I look to fix the identities of two teams in the AJHL that have the worst logos in my opinion. First up is the Bonnyville Pontiacs who at the moment wear replica Penguins jerseys and only use their primary logo on their shoulders.

Here is their current logo:

And here is my updated logo and uniforms. The uniforms are a slight variation on last years Penguin's Stadium Series jerseys.

Next up is the Canmore Eagles. Currently the team wears Winnipeg Jets jerseys with this terrible logo as a crest.

And once again here is my update for the team. Instead of a well known Jets template the team would use a similar design to the St.John's Ice Caps jerseys.

Both teams current jerseys and logos can be found on their respective websites(Bonnyville, Canmore).

The Black Devil

New Jersey has never had an alternate jersey before. Sure they have worn a throwback jersey every once in a while, but they have never had an actual designated alternate uniform. So for this concept I throw out an idea that would make a good alternate jersey that suits the teams traditional aesthetics.

Damn Dirty Apes

For those of you who haven't heard, the ultra talented Fraser Davidson is offering a class(here) on designing sports logos on skillshare. I decided to watch the class and then came up with this logo based on Caesar from the recent Planet of the Apes movies.

Down in the Desert

When the Coyotes changed their name to the Arizona Coyotes, they also got rid of their black third jersey with the full body coyote logo. Although I did not really like the jerseys, I believe that the alternate logo is much better than the one that they use now. So for my concept I went back to the striping pattern of the team before the move to edge and swapped out the logo with the full body logo.

Orange County Concept

The Anaheim Ducks unveiled new uniforms before the start of this season. Although I do believe it is better than their previous set, the color balance on the away jersey is terrible. For my concepts I give a more balanced color scheme while maintaining more orange in the jerseys.

Arghh Matey!

Today I have a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey based loosely off of a jersey from the early Pittsburgh Pirates hockey team. I used a two tone style jersey, which seems to have started to gain popularity from Matt McElroy.
