Battle of Penn State + Sonic
Todays concepts come from Jared Lammi. Jared has been making some progress with his concepts and I hope he keeps on striving to become better. The first concept is of both the Penguins and Flyers. I don't know if Jared intended to have both teams play each other in these jerseys but if so, it would be hard to differentiate teammate from opponent since both jerseys are gray.
His second concept is for the Vancouver Canucks, in which he has given them a Sonic themed jersey.
The one bit of advice I would give to you now Jared is that I have seen in most of your concepts you just fill in the areas with different colours and thats it. It would help if you tried to create striping schemes for the jersey to be more creative.
Note: The paint bucket syndrome here is needed.
ReplyDelete1. The grey vs grey here is inspired by the colour vs colour from the 2014 Winter Classic.
2. The Penguins concept is inspired by their 1992-2002 home jersey.
3. On the Vancouver concept, stripes are NOT needed.
In the 2014 Winter Classic there were two contrasting jerseys in blue and red. Grey versus grey wouldn't work.
ReplyDeleteAlso I didn't say that there was anything wrong with your concepts, I was saying that just filling in the templates and putting a logo and sometimes numbers on it, is a pattern I have noticed.
ALL of my concepts have numbers and logos on them. What you think are not real logos and fonts are actually my custom logos and fonts.
