I have just added a new page to the blog for templates. Its on the upper bar beside About Me. If you click it you will find a couple templates for making some concepts.

Baie Verte Hockey

My family's hometown in Newfoundland is a little town called Baie Verte. I never grew up there but I always spent summer vacation there. For todays concept, I was looking at the jerseys the minor hockey teams in the town wear and decided I would try to give them a better logo. At the moment the logo is two simple crossed swords with baie verte above them and sabres below them. For my logo, I took inspiration from the crossed sword logo of the red and black era of the Buffalo Sabres. Let me know what you think.

Original Six Classic

With the rumoured announcement during this weekends All-star festivities of the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens playing in the 2016 Winter Classic, I decided to create some jerseys for the game.

For the Bruins I created a fauxback that combines the look of jerseys from 1925 and 1940.

For the Canadiens, I  tried to create a throwback jersey that matched the timeframe of the Bruins jersey and was also different from the jerseys they wear today. I took inspiration from their away jerseys used in 1936, but changed the blue and red to create a more balanced look.

Black & Blue & Blue

It has been a while since I have posted on the blog so today I am putting three new concepts up at once. The first concept is for the Philadelphia Flyers. It is a black alternate with striping similar but slightly different than the home and away set they currently use.

Next is a concept of my favourite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. With this concept I combined multiple eras of jerseys into one nice looking third jersey.

Lastly I created a jersey for the Nashville Predators. The jersey takes inspiration from the teams early mustard colored third jersey, including the very unique collar shape.
